There are a few different business structures for doulas providing birth support and postpartum services: solo practice, doula collective, or doula agency. Triangle Doulas of Color is a doula agency. We have a team of doulas that provide support to families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.

What are some of the benefits of working with a doula agency?

🔸Collective Expertise: Having a team provides the opportunity to blend our unique skillsets, experience, and wisdom to care for families. If a doula needs to brainstorm ideas to support a client or needs additional resources for a unique situation, she can reach out to her team members for help. This can be so helpful during a birth!

🔸Team of Support: Each client gets two doulas! During consultations, potential clients meet multiple doulas who are available for their birth. They select two doulas to work with through their pregnancy. This allows clients to build relationships with their doulas for a more robust circle of support, building that very necessary village for raising children.

🔸Additional Services: We are able to offer additional services to support mamas, babies, and families during this the transitions of parenthood. Some of the services we offer include: Fertility Doula Support, Classes (Childbirth Education, VBAC - Vaginal Birth After Cesarean, Early Pregnancy Planning, Breastfeeding, and Newborn/Postpartum Care), Placenta Encapsulation, Lactation Consultations, and Mom's Group.
